Oscar Haussmann Winery

Formerly Oscar Haussmann Winery, now in private ownership.

This is a system of adjacent tunnel vaults which extends over 200 metres - from the banks of the Mosel, under the B53 road, right through to the lower slopes of the Mont-Royal.

These cellars could take over 250 tun casks, an additional 40,000 litres stored in three concrete tanks lined with glass tiles, and a further bottle store for over 70,000 bottles. There is still a hoist at the side of the cellar building on Rissbacherstraße, with which barrels were lifted and lowered through an opening in the vault.
